From Games to Growth
In response to the common issue of math disinterest due to repetitive drills, youth volunteers introduced engaging games into math classrooms at a Cupertino public elementary school, sparking school-wide enthusiasm. Their success led to collaborations with school districts, local institutions, and libraries to organize Bay Area math festivals and invite guest speakers on real-world math applications. Over thirty trained volunteers have emerged as community leaders, hosting their own math festivals. At the Bay Area Maker Fair in October 2023, the "DIY Math Games and Puzzles" project garnered interest from over twenty schools and educational platforms. Currently, a systematic math learning system is being developed, integrating practice problems, games, puzzles, and real-world applications for broader educational impact.

Volunteering and Host Math Festivals
Volunteering at math festivals offers a unique opportunity to engage with the community while promoting a love for mathematics. As a volunteer or host, you'll help organize events, facilitate activities, and create an exciting atmosphere where participants of all ages can explore mathematical concepts in a fun and interactive way. By guiding attendees through games, challenges, and hands-on experiences, you contribute to a greater appreciation for math and support educational enrichment. This role not only fosters a positive attitude toward learning but also builds valuable skills in event coordination, teamwork, and community outreach.
